The Basic Charcoal Briquette.
This is a simple, easy to use way to smudge your loose incense. Simply remove one tablet from the roll. You may either use tongs to hold your briguette over a candle flame or directly light the tablet with a match, be careful, they get hot very quickly. Watch closely for the sparks to travel across the piece before placing it on a bed of salt or sand in a heatproof vessel. Wait a few moments for the tablet to begin to turn into a gray charcoal, much like on a barbie, before sprinkling your loose incense or resin onto the tablet.
